This work is a metaphor in texture and depth. Like broken earth after a long winter, like the crust of time - "Transformation" tells of upheaval, of layers of the past opening up to let the new through. It seems raw and at the same time calm, archaic and yet modern.

The light-coloured cracks at the top - like a skin that is peeling away. Underneath, earth and sea colours: green-blue, umber, burnt gold. Lines that overlap, structures that flow into one another. Nothing is smooth, nothing is closed - everything is in the process of becoming.
